VIDEO: Crocodile stalks the streets of Acapulco
The death toll from days of flooding in southern and central Mexico rose to 81 on Wednesday, and reports of landslides in a village near the resort of Acapulco threatened to drive the number of casualties even higher.
The flooding also created yet another problem for residents: a crocodile was roaming the streets of Acapulco.
Some gathered around the animal as it crawled along the street while others cautiously looked from a distance.
The crocodile was eventually captured.
Elsewhere in the city residents looted stores and thousands of tourists waited to be ferried out by air.
