A US military helicopter has crashed in South Korea, killing two people on board.
A local police officer said the AH-64 Apache helicopter crashed on a road in Wonju, about 80 miles east of Seoul.
He said two bodies were recovered from the helicopter and that officials could not immediately confirm their identities.
There were no reports of casualties on the ground. The US Army command in Seoul couldn't immediately confirm the crash.
About 28,500 US troops are stationed in South Korea as deterrence against possible aggression from North Korea.
