US drone strike kills three suspected al Qaida militants in Yemen
A US drone strike has killed three suspected al Qaida militants in Yemen, security officials said.
They said the attack targeted the suspected militants as they drove along the road in Wadi Adida in Marib province.
They said explosions rocked the area after the strike, suggesting the vehicle was carrying weapons or ammunition.
Al Qaida in the Arabic Peninsula, the group's local branch, is considered by the US to be the world's most dangerous arm of the group. The US routinely targets suspected militants from the group in drone strikes.
