A judge is set to decide whether supermodel Stephanie Seymour can enter a programme that could lead to the dismissal of a drunken driving charge.

The former Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model is due back in Stamford Superior Court on Monday.

A judge is expected to rule on whether Seymour can enter the state's alcohol education programme, which includes several weeks of classes or treatment and can lead to charges being dropped.

Police say the 47-year-old backed her vehicle into another car on a highway exit ramp in her home town of Greenwich in January. She is also charged with crashing into a utility pole and leaving the scene in another accident on the same day.

Seymour's lawyer has said he is confident she would not be charged with drink-driving again.
