Raffaele Sollecito has arrived at Rome's high court for a hearing that will determine his fate in the brutal 2007 murder of his ex-girlfriend Amanda Knox's British room-mate, Meredith Kercher.

Dozens of journalists and camera crews mobbed Sollecito as he made his way into the Court of Cassation in Rome for final arguments and deliberations.

Sollecito and Knox were convicted of the murder of Ms Kercher in Perugia in 2007. Knox, who is currently in the US, was sentenced to 28-and-a-half years, while Sollecito was given 25 years.
