Reporter arrested for assault after being accused of taking lewd photos at high school graduation
A reporter with The Oklahoman is alleged to have taken photos up a girl's dress.
An Oklahoma reporter has been arrested on assault and battery charges after women alleged that he had taken photos up a girl's dress at a high school graduation ceremony.
Nathaniel Campfield, 31, a reporter with The Oklahoman, was arrested after police received several calls claiming he was taking lewd pictures at the Moore High School graduation and many females complained that he had repeatedly bumped into them.
Mr Campfield said he was covering the ceremony for the newspaper, when asked by police. He then allowed an officer to look through the images taken on his camera, but when there weren't any visible pictures, he explained that he had left his memory card at home.
According to FOX25, Campfield's supervisor at the newspaper confirmed he was on assignment at the Moore High School graduation. The Oklahoman released a statement later saying they are aware of the arrest and are taking steps to address the issue within the company.
The newspaper defended their employee and said they are monitoring the situation. "Zeke Campfield has been a valuable, trusted member of our news staff for more than a year, so we are very surprised by the allegations in the police report," the statement read.
