Rapper in hospital after court date
Death Row Records founder Suge Knight has been taken to a hospital complaining of chest pains after he appeared in court in a murder case.
Knight pleaded not guilty earlier today to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges during a brief court appearance in a Compton court.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Officer John Gardner said Knight was taken to a hospital after complaining of chest pains.
No additional details were available.
Knight is accused of intentionally running down two men, including a friend, in his truck on Thursday.
However, his attorney James Blatt has said the collision was an accident that occurred as Knight was trying to flee an altercation in which he was assaulted.
The 49-year-old could face life in prison if convicted.
On Monday, prosecutors charged Knight with killing 55-year-old Terry Carter and attempting to kill 51-year-old Cle "Bone" Sloan.
