Quick thinking strangers group together to save massive beached whale
A beached Minke whale, measuring almost 39 feet, was saved by a group of rescuers in Chile who used a rope to get it back into the Pacific Ocean.
The bloodied whale was spotted by residents, who immediately came to its aid.
Local fisherman tied some ropes together to haul the whale back into the water.
A member of Chile’s National Fisheries Services said the whale had only suffered superficial wounds, caused by rocks on the beach.
