Prisoner ate his cellmate's lung

A French convict who killed his cellmate and ate his lung has been jailed for 30 years.

Prisoners Nicolas Cocaign and Thierry Baudry had a fight after Cocaign asked Baudry to wash his hands after he had used the toilet. Cocaign strangled Baudry and cut open his chest with a razor blade.

Drink driver had a beer after crash

A drink driver trapped after overturning his car cracked open another beer as he waited for emergency crews to rescue him, a New Zealand court was told.

Paul Nigel Sneddon (47) pleaded guilty to careless driving and drunken driving after being caught three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Drunk all at sea after pool party

A man who apparently passed out on a pool float at a Tampa area beach ended up drifting about a mile from Florida's shore in the Gulf of Mexico before he was rescued by the US coastguard.

A coastguard official said the man, who was found unconscious in his life jacket, appeared "very drunk" at the time.
