Police uncover plot by infatuated fan to castrate and murder Justin Bieber

POLICE have uncovered an elaborate plot to castrate and kill teenage pop singer Justin Bieber.

A convicted murderer with a Justin Bieber fixation hired two men to strangle the 18-year-old pop sensation.

Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane were allegedly hired by Dana Martin, who is serving 978 years in prison for rape and murder, to abduct the Canadian singer while he was performing concerts in New York last month, and to strangle him with a tie.

While in prison in New Mexico, Martin became infatuated with Bieber and got a tattoo of the singer on his leg. But when attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, an upset Martin decided to plot his death.

According to KRQE News, he ordered a fellow inmate, Staake, to carry out "the murder and castration of Bieber and his bodyguard".

Police intercepted phone calls between the men, including a call from a disappointed Mr Ruane to Martin, allegedly telling him that the plot had not been carried out.

Staake was arrested in Vermont and Ruane was arrested a short time later in New York, where police found a pair of pruning shears in his car. (© Independent News Service)
