Police charge 22-year-old with murder of Georgia Williams after a body was recovered

Police have charged 22-year-old Jamie Reynolds with the murder of Georgia Williams, 17, who has not been seen since Sunday, West Mercia Police said today.

A body found on the Nant-y-Grath pass near Wrexham is believed to be that of Georgia Williams, West Mercia Police also said.

Police had been searching a location in North Wales in connection with the disappearance of 17-year-old Georgia Williams who has not been seen since Sunday.

West Mercia Police said officers from North Wales Police were searching an area of land on the Nant-y-Garth pass near Wrexham.

A force spokesman said: "These searches are part of our ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Georgia Williams from Wellington."

Police are expected to hold a press conference at 5.45pm when there will be a significant update on the investigation in Shropshire.
