Pair deny murder

Two men have denied murdering the soldier Lee Rigby in an attack outside his barracks and will go on trial in November at the Old Bailey.

Michael Adebolajo (28) and Michael Adebowale (22) appeared via video link from separate rooms at the top-security Belmarsh Prison.

The pair both denied murdering Drummer Rigby in London on May 22 this year.

Mr Adebolajo, and Mr Adebowale also both pleaded not guilty to attempted murder of a police officer on May 22.

Mr Justice Sweeney adjourned the case and set the trial date for November 18.

GILLIAN'S STAGE 'DESIRE'

'X-Files' star Gillian Anderson is returning to the London stage to play Blanche DuBois in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' next year.

She was nominated for an Olivier Award for her 2009 appearance in 'A Doll's House' at London's Donmar Warehouse theatre, and was recently seen on TV playing a police officer hunting a murderer in 'The Fall'.

A UNITED AIRLINES CAPTAIN SUFFERED AN APPARENT HEART ATTACK WHILE FLYING FROM HOUSTON TO SEATTLE AND PASSENGERS STEPPED IN TO HELP, WITH A DOCTOR PERFORMING CPR AND AN OFF-DUTY PILOT ASSISTING THE LANDING IN IDAHO.

THE CAPTAIN WAS STILL ALIVE WHEN HE ARRIVED AT HOSPITAL IN BOISE, IDAHO, BUT DIED OVERNIGHT. THERE WERE 161 PASSENGERS ON BOARD.
