A pregnant teen has been charged with Manslaughter after shooting her boyfriend in a 'YouTube prank gone wrong'.

Monalisa Perez was charged this week in Halstad, Minnesota.

It is alleged that she shot her boyfriend, Pedro Ruiz III (22), while making a stunt video for their YouTube channel.

Two cameras, a GoPro on a car, along with another camera on a ladder, are believed to have captured the shooting.

According to documents filed in court, the young man was holding up a book and insisted his girlfriend shoot at him as he was holding it.

The accused said they believed the book would stop the bullet as he had shot a different book where the bullet did not go all the way through.

The couple already have a 3-year-old and Ms Perez is pregnant with their second child.

"I wish they wouldn't have done it. I wish he would've just done another prank," the victim's aunt, Claudia Ruiz, told W-Day TV.
