A 16-year-old boy allegedly pushed his mother out a second-storey window to her death.

The Michigan teenager, whose identity has not been released, was arrested and now faces charges for killing his mother, according to news station WDIV.

Nada Huranieh (35) was found dead on the patio outside their mansion in Farmington Hills, outside Detroit, on Monday.

Emergency services attended the scene at approximately 6.40am, according to the New York Post.

Attempts to save the young mother's life failed.

Investigators then reportedly discovered evidence that the personal trainer had been murdered.

"No one has been charged yet but we are treating this as a murder investigation and her son is in custody in connection with this," Farmington Hills Police Chief Charles Nebus told the Detroit News.

The teenager was taken into custody at  the juvenile centre, Oakland County Children’s Village.

He will appear in court on August 31.

Franklin Athletic Club posted a tribute to the Huranieh on Facebook, writing; " It is with saddened hearts that the management and staff of Franklin Athletic Club bid farewell to Nada Huranieh.

"Nada was an energetic, beautiful, dedicated personal trainer and group exercise instructor who passed away Monday, August 21st, 2017. "Nada's lovely spirit will always be part of the Franklin family...we greatly miss her."
