Rapper Troy Ave was shot twice on Christmas night while sitting in his car at a traffic junction in New York City.

Lawyer Scott Lemon said his client, whose real name is Roland Collins, was on his way to visit his family on Sunday evening when he was shot twice in Brooklyn.

Police said the 34-year-old was in a red Maserati with his girlfriend when a man fired several rounds into the car, striking Collins once in the arm and grazing his head.

A good Samaritan took him to Brookdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, sources said.

When asked how he was doing, a bandaged-up Ave told The New York Post, “Shot in the head, man,” before being wheeled away by medical staff.

Press Association is reporting that Collins remains in hospital in a fair condition. No arrests have been made.

A photo that was later posted to Instagram by rapper 50 Cent showed Collins laid up in bed with a bandage around his head.

“Dope boy Troy all good,” the caption read. “Merry Christmas.”

Collins is free on bail following his May arrest in connection with a fatal shooting inside a popular Manhattan concert venue.

He has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges. He also was shot in that incident.
