Trump launches Irish 'Make America Great Again' hat and the price is 'a bit much'
The Official Donald Trump team has launched a green 'Make America Great Again' baseball cap ahead of St Patrick's Day.
In a post on twitter the team announced that the limited edition hats were available to buy online.
But they don't come cheap and currently carry the eye-watering price of $50 (€47.50).
In a post on the social network, the team wrote: "Capture the luck of the Irish with this Make America Great Again Hat. While supplies last! Order by March 13th to ensure delivery by St. Patrick's Day."
The headgear is embroidered with the Trumps logo 'Make America Great Again' on the front and a four leaf clover on the back.
According to the page the caps are "proudly made in USA".
It now waits to be seen if Trump will wear the hat for his meeting with Enda Kenny when the Taoiseach visits the White House on St Patrick's Day.
The launch has already caused a stir online with many slamming the $50 price tag.
~ I'd love to have one, but don't you think $50 is a bit much? We aren't made of money you know. #MAGA for less.— Florida Skeptic (@ClayWelsh) March 2, 2017
I TOTALLY AGREE! Working conservatives can't afford $50 for a hat. How about $10 - $15. Are they made in AMERICA?— John Heide (@JohnHeide2) March 2, 2017
