How Trump ended up on cutting floor
It's a tragic loss to cinema history: according to 'Scent of A Woman' star Chris O'Donnell, Donald Trump filmed a short scene for the 1992 film - but the footage was later cut.
O'Donnell, who was speaking on Conan O'Brien's chat show in the US, explained that Trump was 'cast' in the Al Pacino film as a condition for allowing the filmmakers to use a hotel he owned at the time, The Plaza in New York.
Luckily for fans of Trump's acting, the President was able to indulge his thespian side a few months later, in 'Home Alone 2: Lost In New York', in which he played himself.
He has also appeared, as himself, in a number of other titles, including 1996's 'Eddie', 'Zoolander' (2001), and 'Two Weeks' Notice' (2002), in which he appeared in a scene with Hugh Grant.
O'Donnell was unable to confirm exactly why Trump's scene in Scent of A Woman was cut from the film.
