Caitlyn Jenner said she is 'really upset' with Donald Trump and is considering a career in politics
Caitlyn Jenner has said she is "really upset" by some of Donald Trump's policies and would consider running for politics herself.
Jenner, who transitioned to living as a woman two years ago, said she would is disheartened by some of US President Trump's decisions and claimed he is "influenced by people around him."
The reality TV star (65) said that although she doesn't regret voting for Trump, she isn't happy about his decision to overturn guidance allowing transgender students to use the gendered school bathroom that they identify wiith.
The former Olympian said: "It doesn't make me regret my vote yet, but it is very disappointing and I have been very verbal about that.
"I thought Trump would be better on these issues."
Caitlyn said she has spoke to him about her concerns in the past, adding: "I will have more conversation with him about it in the future."
When asked on BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme whether she would considering entering politics, Jenner said she might so she could fight for LGBT issues.
She said: "I do a lot of political stuff, but it is mostly all behind the scenes...
"I have been asked that question quite a bit, to be honest with you - over the next year I'm looking into it.
"I want to know where can I do a better job for my community, in bringing the Republican Party around when it comes to all LGBT issues.
"Is it from the outside? Kind of working on the outside and the perimeter and working with everybody to get the Republicans to change their thinking?
"Or is it better off being on the inside and actually running for a Congress or Senate seat? Can I do more good there? And those are the things that I am evaluating."
