'One of the most difficult cases police have arrived on' - Man confesses to killing sister (6) and young cousins
A man has confessed to killing his younger sister and two cousins in a crime that was so horrific police were offered counselling, according to authorities.
Antonio Williams (25) was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder of in the deaths of his sister Nadiara Janae Withers (6) and their cousins Ariana Elizabeth Decree (9) and Ajayah Royale Decree (6).
The Washington Post reports that Walliams' mother asked him to mind the girls and his other sister at her home in Clinton, Washington while she went to work on Thursday overnight.
When she returned home on Friday morning she found the girls in a basement room with apparent stab wounds, the fourth girl (2) was unharmed in the incident.
Emergency services were called and the three girls were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police Williams confessed at the scene and he remains in custody.
First responders and investigators have been offered counselling following the traumatic discovery.
Jennifer Donelan, a spokeswoman for Prince George’s County police, said: “This is one of the most difficult that our officers have arrived on.”
Assistant Police Chief Hector Velez also said that everyone is devastated by the enws.
Chief Velez said: “We all feel this loss.
“We want to assure the community that the Prince George’s County Police Department will work tirelessly to find the person or persons responsible for these children’s deaths.”
