Mother and baby girl killed by grizzly in Yukon wilderness

A mother and her baby daughter have been killed by a grizzly bear in Canada.

The bodies of Valerie Theore (37) and 10-month-old Adele were found by the child's father Gjermund Roesholt at the family's remote cabin.

Coroner Heather Jones said Ms Theoret and Adele appeared to have been out for a walk in the Yukon wilderness some time between 10am and 3pm on Monday when the attack occurred. Ms Theoret, originally from Quebec, was on maternity leave from her job as a primary school teacher a in Whitehorse, the Yukon's only city. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
