A married teacher was arrested in Oklahoma on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with an underage student.

Hunter Day (22), a science teacher at Yukon High School, was arrested on suspicion second degree rape, facilitating sexual contact with a minor and possession of child pornography.

KWTV and New York Post report that Day is also married to the school's football coach.

According to reports, the boy's parents raised the alarm after finding explicit pictures and messages on his phone.

The teacher was caught in a sting operation by police, after deputies used the boy's phone to tell the teacher he had arrived at her residence.

Authorities said Day replied to the message, writing; " The doors [sic] unlocked as usual."

The teacher reportedly admitted to sending the boy intimate photos, and said she's received photos from the boy of his genitals.

"I’m no longer surprised by the people who commit these crimes, because predators come from all walks of life," Canadian County Sheriff Chris West told KWTV.

Administrators from the high school released a statement on Twitter, saying; "the safety and well-being of our students is our number one priority".
