Hurricane Harvey: Girl (3) clung to mother's dead floating body to escape 'catastrophic' floods
A Texas woman has died trying to save herself and her three-year-old daughter in the catastrophic floods after hurricane Harvey.
According to Fox News, the woman was driving when she got stuck in high water. She pulled herself and her daughter out of the car and they were swept into a canal.
Police later spotted the mother floating with the three-year-old child desperately clinging onto her.
The pair were brought onto the rescue boat.

The child was responsive but suffering from hypothermia. The mother was unresponsive and efforts to revive her failed. The child was hospitalised in stable condition.
So far 18 people have died and over 3.000 people have been rescued in the aftermath of Storm Harvey.
