Family and friends filled a Massachusetts church to pay their final respects to Saoirse Kennedy Hill, the 22-year-old grand-daughter of the late Robert Kennedy.

A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Victory Church in the village of Centerville near the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port. Ms Hill, who was due to start her senior year at Boston College, was found unresponsive at a home in the compound on Thursday.

A post-mortem revealed no signs of trauma, and investigators are awaiting toxicology reports. She was the daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy's fifth child, Courtney, and Paul Hill.
