Syrian rebels tie up and kill 20 soldiers

A rebel brigade in Aleppo admitted responsibility yesterday for the worst mass killings by Syrian opposition forces since the uprising began, and even the UN human rights chief accused them of "murder, extra-judicial execution and torture".

A video on Youtube showed a line of 20 men dressed in army fatigues, all wearing blindfolds and their hands bound behind their back. The men were apparently lined up and shot. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
