Netanyahu issues threat after Hamas rocket strike
Benjamin Netanyahu (pictured) exchanged threats with Hamas yesterday after a week of escalating violence, writes Phoebe Greenwood.
The Israeli prime minister said: "Our policy is to use force in order to restore security."
Despite a truce agreed last week, 20 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel on Saturday, injuring an Israeli factory worker.
Hamas claimed responsibility for the missiles.
They were answered with three targeted Israeli air strikes, in which two Palestinians were reportedly killed and 10 injured. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
