BBC correspondent asked to leave Iran

The BBC has said its permanent correspondent in Iran has been asked to leave the country.

It comes as the British Foreign Secretary rejected claims by the Iranian Foreign Minister that Britain is stirring protests against the disputed re-election of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

10 people are reported dead in the latest clashes between protesters and police in post-election unrest.

It brings the official death toll for a week of unrest to at least 19.
