IT was all hands to the pumps for the British royal family – Valentine's Day or not.
Kate Middleton spent the day visiting a charity project while husband William and his brother Harry were up to their necks helping flood victims.
Kate toured a school in north-west London to meet children benefiting from art therapy provided by one of her organisations, while William donned waders and waterproofs with Harry as they made an unannounced trip to Datchet to help move sandbags being used to defend properties in the flood-hit Berkshire village.
More than 2,000 British armed forces personnel are helping the flood relief effort.
