Kim Jong-Un's aunt - estranged wife of purged uncle - reported to have died
Kim Jong-un's aunt, the estranged wife of Jang Song-taek who was purged and executed last month, has herself either died of a heart attack or committed suicide, reports have suggested.
Kim Kyong-hui, previously a leading figure in the regime, is the late Kim Jung Il’s younger sister.
She is believed to have been ill for some time and it is understood that she underwent treatment for cancer and travelled to Russia recently for a heart complaint.
According to a South Korean government source, the 67-year-old has died - either from a heart attack or by suicide.
It has been reported that Ms Kyong-hui had been greatly stressed by her husband’s killing.
Tragedy also struck the aunt in the past, with the suicide of her daughter in Paris in September 2006.
