THE Nevada Supreme Court has refused to overturn former football star OJ Simpson's armed robbery and kidnapping convictions stemming from a Las Vegas hotel-room heist.

Sixty-three-year-old Simpson is serving nine to 33 years at a state prison.

Mummified body found in car

POLICE launched an investigation after discovering that a Southern California woman drove around for up to 10 months with a homeless woman's mummified body in her passenger seat.

'The Orange County Register' heard that she let the woman sleep in her car, and one morning found she had died inside. The driver was afraid to contact police.

Rope bridge to help orangutans

A ROPE bridge has been erected across a river in Malaysia's Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary to provide a corridor for the isolated orangutan population.

Sanctuary director Dr Laurentius Ambu said orangutans will become extinct in our lifetime if they are not reconnected through schemes like rope bridges.
