The 73-year-old conjurer, who married Debbie McGee in 1988, told his Twitter followers he had "a lot of laughs and funny tweets" but added "she must have taken them far more seriously than me. I thought summat was up weeks ago and politely 'lost' her. . . silly me".

Actor's daughter guilty over death
THE estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton has been found guilty of the aggravated manslaughter of a child in Orlando. Amanda Brumfield (32) is expected to be sentenced in July.
She was acquitted of murder and child-abuse charges. Authorities say Brumfield killed her best friend's daughter during an overnight stay in October 2008. Brumfield claimed that one-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia was trying to climb out of a playpen and hit her head.
N Korean tapping plot foiled by Italy
ITALY foiled an attempt by North Korea to import tap-dancing shoes in breach of a UN ban on the sale of luxury goods to Pyongyang, according to a UN report on the enforcement of sanctions against the North.
The report said that many banned goods reached North Korea via an unnamed trans-shipment hub in China.
