Scientists have developed a type of food packaging which can tell people when food is starting to go off.

Researchers at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow said their "intelligent" plastic indicator changes colour when the food is about to lose its freshness.

Himalayan bus crash kills 20

More than 20 tourists died when their sightseeing bus overturned on a steep bend in the Himalayan foothills.

The bus was taking 52 people back home from a picnic in Mussoorie, when it flipped over and rolled down a gorge, landing upside down.

After police told him to go away, Guadalupe Cruz-Vasquez broke the window of a squad car and drove off, but ran out of petrol and was arrested.
