Seven couples kissed without pause for more than 33 hours in the Thai beach resort of Pattaya to claim a new world record.

The previous best -- 32 hours, seven minutes and 14 seconds -- was set in 2009 by a couple in Germany, according to Guinness World Records. Fourteen, mostly Thai, pairs entered the contest when it began in a shopping mall.

Woman hits tiger with soup ladle

A woman in a jungle region of northern Malaysia rescued her husband from a tiger attack by clubbing the animal on the head with a large wooden soup ladle.

Police in Perak state said the tiger pounced on Tambun Gediu while he was hunting squirrels near his home in a settlement of the Jahai tribe.

Liz Taylor to stay in hospital

ELIZABETH Taylor will stay in hospital in Los Angeles for another few days, according to her doctors.

The star is being treated for congestive heart failure. The 78-year-old Taylor was admitted late last week.

A couple has got married on an elevated train in Philadelphia, home of the 70s single 'Love Train'.

The wedding of Krisy Plourde and Tom Golden was performed by mayor Michael Nutter in a special service from city hall. Philadelphia International Records released the O'Jays' song, which became a global hit.
