A FRENCH prostitute took part in 11 orgies over six years with Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, it has been claimed.

The 30-year-old woman, using the name Florence, has exposed even further the apparently insatiable behaviour of the one-time favourite for the French presidency.

She is reported to have told police that "every girl in the room" had intercourse with Mr Strauss-Kahn during a series of sex sessions. The woman, quoted in 'Le Parisien', said the 62-year-old economist had "exceptional vigour", and was "above all interested in newcomers".

Florence was one of three women questioned by French police over a prostitute network operating out of a hotel in Lille, northern France. Her claims came amid a torrent of sordid revelations about Mr Strauss-Kahn, whose career has been in tatters since the allegation that he tried to rape a New York hotel chambermaid in May.

Mr Strauss-Kahn returned to France after the charges were dropped. He has since escaped an accusation that he tried to rape a young writer in Paris eight years ago, but prosecutors considered that he had sexually harassed her. He has now been named as a client of the Lille-based prostitution ring under criminal investigation.

Florence told police that she had intercourse with Mr Strauss-Kahn at 11 orgies over six years. Florence and another prostitute named Mounia (38) were paid €2,400 to spend three days in Washington last year with Mr Strauss-Kahn, and another €1,522 for meetings in Lille and Paris. Mounia recounted how she had spent an afternoon with Mr Strauss-Kahn in a top-floor Paris hotel suite.

According to 'Le Nouvel Observateur' magazine, Mr Strauss-Kahn was "bored to death" in Washington at the IMF after being chastened for having an affair with an employee. Since then, it said, he had sworn to his wife, Anne Sinclair, that he would commit no further "dalliances".

But he allegedly spent an evening in a hotel suite by the White House with two prostitutes and an American blonde "friend", the magazine said. Two days later, he was charged with trying to rape Nafissatou Diallo, a chambermaid at the Manhattan Sofitel. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
