THE headmaster of a Swiss school where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson plan to send their daughters - Beatrice (11) and Eugenie (10) - has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his own children.

Richard McDonald, principal at Aiglon College and a contemporary of the prince at Gordonstoun public school in Scotland, has resigned from his post.

A Swiss police spokesman said Mr McDonald had been remanded in custody and a full investigation was under way.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said the royal pair still planned to send their children to the school. Beatrice is due to start at the £19,500-a-year private boarding school - in the alpine ski resort of Villars - in September.
