Family's double loss with airline
IN an almost unbelievably cruel twist of fate, an Australian family who lost two members aboard the Malaysia Airlines plane that disappeared in March has learned that two other close relatives died when the same airline's Flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine.
The family were still grieving for Rodney Burrows and his wife, Mary, who are among the 239 passengers and crew on the still missing MH370.
Now they must come to terms with the deaths of Maree Rizk and her husband, Albert, two of 28 Australians aboard MH17 when it was shot down on Thursday.
The flight was connecting with flights to Melbourne and Perth, hence the heavy Australian death toll.
The Rizks, who had two children, were returning to Sunbury, near Melbourne, after a month-long holiday with friends in Europe.© Independent News Service)
