Exciting times for Bland, Dull and Boring
THE long-suffering inhabitants of Bland in Australia are hoping to turn a negative into a positive by establishing links with Dull in Scotland and Boring in the US.
Bland Shire, in New South Wales, with a population 6,000, encompasses farmland in the sprawling Riverina region of New South Wales.
"Wherever there's a negative, there's always an opportunity, said Tony Lord, a Bland Shire councillor.
"That's where we need to think positively and look ahead at all the opportunities."
