Anita McSorley

A woman was flung metres in the air when she was struck by a car at the famous Beatle crossing.

CCTV cameras captured the dramatic incident outside Abbey Road Studios.

The video shows the girl running over the pedestrian crossing, seemingly unaware of the approaching car.

She was then struck by a silver Volkswagen Polo.

She was taken to hospital in an ambulance following the collision and it is not known if she suffered any injuries.

This crossing was made famous when The Beatles were pictured on it for their 1969 Abbey Road album.

It is located in London outside the Abbey Road Studios and has become a popular tourist attraction with people attempting to recreate the iconic album cover.

There is even a livestream of the crossing where you can watch it 24 hours a day.
