What in Dalmatian - Kate's trusty coat still looks spot on
The recession may be over, and the razor edge of austerity blunted somewhat, but that has not stopped Kate Middleton from setting a good example in the thrift stakes.
Yesterday, the 33-year-old, who is nearly eight months pregnant, wrapped up in a favourite Dalmatian print coat by British high street store Hobbs for the visit to the windy seaside resort of Margate, Kent.
However, those who turned up to welcome her may have had a sense of deja vu. For the coat has been seen before. She last wore it to launch the Royal Princess cruise ship, her last official visit before giving birth to Prince George in 2013.
Kate, who is patron of the National Portrait Gallery, visited the Self: Image and Identity exhibition, which includes the last self-portrait by Sir Anthony Van Dyck. She soaked up the seaside resort's burgeoning art scene during a visit to a gallery inspired by master British landscape artist JMW Turner.
Hundreds of people turned out to greet her as she arrived at the Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate, which opened in 2011.
