Video: Speed fanatic reaches 263kmh on his mountain bike

A French man has set a new land speed record of 263km.h on his mountain bike, with a rocket attached.

The daredevil, François Gissy, used a Swedish designed hydrogen peroxide powered rocket on the back of his mountain bike, to help him reach the record speed.

The previous motor-paced land speed  record was set back in 1995 by Fred Rompelberg on an old French military base in Mulhouse.

This video doesn’t disappoint, to achieve this kind of speed on a mountain bike is scary.
