Two die in Welsh light aircraft crash

EMERGENCY services were dealing with a light aircraft crash in Wales today amid reports that two people had been killed.

Police said a "small aircraft" had been involved in an incident in the Leighton area of Welshpool in Powys.

Fire services said firefighters had been called at 12.41pm today and had been "attending two casualties from a light aircraft accident".

Welshpool is home to Mid-Wales airport which has a flying club.
