Three people have died following a collision between a car and a motorbike.

The two female occupants of a black Renault Megane estate and the male rider of the motorcycle were killed in the accident on the A259 Rye Road in Brookland, Romney Marsh, Kent, at 3.50pm today.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We can now confirm three people have died as a result of this collision - a male motorcyclist and two female occupants of the car."

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

The spokesman said: "They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the black Renault or the motorbike in the moments before the incident."
