Mark Bridger is likely to have disposed of April Jones's body by dismembering it and scattering it into the fast-flowing River Dovey, it can now be revealed.
The former slaughterman, who was yesterday convicted of the five-year-old's abduction and murder, made the startling confession to a Catholic priest while on remand in Strangeways Prison in Manchester.
Bridger, who heaped further grief on April's heartbroken family, by refusing to tell them where her body was, confided in the prison chaplain.
Details of his cell-room confession emerged during legal argument in the trial but were never heard by the jury.
During his remand in Manchester, Bridger admitted to FrBarry O'Sullivan to having "flung" April's body into the river. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
