Mum releases picture of 'angels' as inquest opens
The mother of two children murdered by their IRA bomb survivor father who then killed himself released a photograph of "her angels" as an inquest opened into their deaths.
The bodies of Michael (51) Ben (7) and Freya Pedersen (6) were found in a lane near Andover, Hampshire, on Sunday. Post-mortem examinations showed that all three died of stab wounds. The inquest was adjourned until December 5.
Mr Pedersen had recently split from his wife Erica (43). He failed to return the two children to their mother after bringing them to visit to his father in Andover.
The bodies were found by a walker and officers were tracing his family when his estranged wife raised the alarm at 7pm.
He was a former army sergeant in the Household Cavalry unit that was hit by an IRA nail bomb in Hyde Park in 1982.
Four soldiers and seven horses were killed in the explosion, which left Pedersen's horse Sefton seriously injured.
