NELL McAndrew was feeling the heat after setting a new personal best at the London Marathon yesterday.
The 37-year-old model and TV personalty completed the 26 miles in a time of 3:08.25, despite the temperature reaching an uncomfortable 20C.
She said: "It's been hot so I'm really chuffed. The support en route definitely helps"
Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke missed his target of three hours by 32 minutes after "hitting the wall" at mile 23. "It was painful. Dark and lonely with lots of people passing you," he joked.
Comedian Joe Pasquale and singer Will Young also completed the course.
Organisers said 35,303 runners started.
