Man 'trying to sell baby' in shopping centre released on bail
A man suspected of trying to sell a baby in a shopping centre has been released on police bail.
The man, who has not been named, was arrested on suspicion of child neglect by Greater Manchester Police yesterday.
A member of the public said he was approached by a man with a baby in a pram at Manchester's Barton Arcade at 2.30pm yesterday.
The man allegedly offered to sell the baby girl to him, police said.
The suspect, a 28-year-old man, has been bailed until September.
Police said the three-month-old girl is safe and well.
