An 82-year-old man is being questioned over a suspected killing spree after two women and four dogs were found shot dead in Surrey.
Police were called to a house off Crooksbury Road in Farnham after gunshots were heard.
They found the bodies of a woman in her forties and a woman in her sixties, who have yet to be formally identified but were known to their suspected killer.
An 82-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Preston, from Surrey Police, said: "It is extremely sad that two people have lost their lives and police family liaison officers are working to support their relatives and friends at this very difficult time.
"We are conducting a full and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding these two deaths. However, at this time, we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the wider community.
"Officers remain at the scene conducting inquiries and will be on site for some time. This investigation is in its early stages and we will issue updates when we have them."
Post-mortem examinations are due to take place on the two women.
