Koo Stark for court over theft
KOO Stark (right), the former girlfriend of Britain's Duke of York, Prince Andrew, has been summonsed to appear in court after allegedly stealing a painting worth more than £30,000 (€37,668).
The 56-year-old American actress is due to appear before magistrates on Friday, when she is expected to be charged with theft.
She is accused of stealing the artwork from the London home of Warren Walker, her former fiance and the father of her daughter, Tatiana (15).
Miss Stark, whose real name is Kathleen, was arrested two days after the alleged theft in July.
She met the duke on a blind date organised by friends after his return from the Falklands conflict in the 1980s. The relationship ended when it emerged that she had starred in an erotic film when she was 17.
Last year, Miss Stark was declared bankrupt by the High Court over an unpaid hotel bill of £38,680 (€48,566).
She had previously built up large debts after a protracted legal battle with Mr Walker, heir to the Forbes' publishing and shipping fortune, who sued her for custody of their daughter. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
