Graphic footage: Two teenagers hospitalised after sliding down glass roof and crashing onto stone steps below Newsdesk Newsdesk

A teenager is in intensive care after sliding down the glass side of a building and crashing onto the stone steps below.

Jacob Polyakov suffered sever head injuries after smashing it against the floor when he slid the side of the SEC Globe shopping centre in Independence Square, Kiev with his friend Jamal Maslow, who suffered a broken coccyx.

Footage of the incident has since spread online. It shows the pair picking up speed as they made their way down, before crashing against the steps.

It seemed the pair didn't expect they would go as fast as they did, according to eyewitness Pavel Yaremenko.

"These guys were drunk and they were fooling around at the top, I don’t think they really intended to jump," he said.

"But once they started picking up speed they must have regretted it but it was too late to stop then. They really hit the ground fast."

Both were brought to hospital.
