Four people charged over blaze that killed family of Dublin surgeon
Four people including a 16-year-old have been charged with murder after a fatal house fire killed the family of a Dublin surgeon.
Leicestershire Police said it had charged the youth, a 24-year-old man and two 19-year-old men with four counts of murder after the deadly blaze in Leicester.
The family of Dr Muhammad Taufiq Al Satar were killed in a blaze at the family’s home on September 13.
Their bodies were found in the upstairs bedrooms of their home on Wood Hill in the Spinney Hills area of the city.
Muhammad Taufiq al Sattar, a neurosurgeon who was working in Ireland, has said he would "deeply miss" his "beautiful" wife, daughter and two teenage sons.
The occupants of the house; Shehnila Taufiq, 47, her daughter Zainab, 19, and sons Bilal, 17, and Jamil, 15, all died after fire swept through their house in Wood Hill in the early hours of Friday, September 13.
The four in custody will all appear before Leicester Magistrates Court later this morning.
Two men, aged 20 and 19, remain in police custody and a 21-year-old man has been released.
Kemo Porter, 18, was charged on September 19 with four counts of murder and he will appear at Leicester Crown Court at a later date.
