Far-Right film goes too far in name of France
A FILM by the National Front purportedly showing France in all its beauty has been found to contain images from South Africa, Spain and a pornographic Slovak reality television show, writes Henry Samuel.
The film was broadcast before 4,000 supporters during the far-Right party's "summer university" in Marseille last weekend.
With opening credits that read "France is beautiful, let's protect it", viewers were treated to a medley of sites from the Eiffel Tower to Mont Saint-Michel.
However, 'Le Petit Journal', a satirical television news programme, traced the rest of the film's material to an array of foreign locations and sources, including Cape Town, Russia, the Spanish Pyrenees... and a Slovak adult television programme called 'Hotel Paradise'. (© Daily Telegraph, London)
